Raja Shakya is the Kathmandu District Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and an active young political leader. Elected during the party’s first General Convention. Shakya previously served as the Chairperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 8. He has made notable contributions to the promotion of Nepal Bhasa, Newa Culture, Heritage preservation, and local community concerns. Closely connected with the community, he has been actively involved in social initiatives such as cleanliness campaigns, blood donation programs, and community activities in areas including swayambhu, Bijayshwori, and Dallu.
Guided by the belief that “politics comes from society, and politics cannot be complete without serving society,” Shakya continues to prioritize social service and local issues. His leadership is characterized by organizational development, guidance to party members, equal treatment, and dialogue-based engagement. Known for being hardworking, humble, approachable, and responsible, Shakya continues to play an active role through the RSP in the pursuit of a prosperous, just, and people-oriented Nepal.
